1וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר יְהוָ֖ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֥ה לֵּאמֹֽר׃
vaydabber ADONAI el-moshe lemor
And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying:
2בְּיוֹם־הַחֹ֥דֶשׁ הָרִאשׁ֖וֹן בְּאֶחָ֣ד לַחֹ֑דֶשׁ תָּקִ֕ים אֶת־מִשְׁכַּ֖ן אֹ֥הֶל מוֹעֵֽד׃
beyom-hachodesh harishon be'echad lachodesh takim et-mishkan ohel mo'ed
’On the first day of the first month shalt thou rear up the tabernacle of the tent of meeting.
3וְשַׂמְתָּ֣ שָׁ֔ם אֵ֖ת אֲר֣וֹן הָעֵד֑וּת וְסַכֹּתָ֥ עַל־הָאָרֹ֖ן אֶת־הַפָּרֹֽכֶת׃
vesamta sham et aron ha'edut vesakkota al-ha'aron et-happarokhet
And thou shalt put therein the ark of the testimony, and thou shalt screen the ark with the veil.
4וְהֵבֵאתָ֙ אֶת־הַשֻּׁלְחָ֔ן וְעָרַכְתָּ֖ אֶת־עֶרְכּ֑וֹ וְהֵבֵאתָ֙ אֶת־הַמְּנֹרָ֔ה וְהַעֲלֵיתָ֖ אֶת־נֵרֹתֶֽיהָ׃
veheveta et-hashulchan ve'arakhta et-erko veheveta et-hammenora veha'aleta et-neroteha
And thou shalt bring in the table, and set in order the bread that is upon it; and thou shalt bring in the candlestick, and light the lamps thereof.
5וְנָתַתָּ֞ה אֶת־מִזְבַּ֤ח הַזָּהָב֙ לִקְטֹ֔רֶת לִפְנֵ֖י אֲר֣וֹן הָעֵדֻ֑ת וְשַׂמְתָּ֛ אֶת־מָסַ֥ךְ הַפֶּ֖תַח לַמִּשְׁכָּֽן׃
venatatta et-mizbach hazzahav liktoret lifne aron ha'edut vesamta et-masakh happetach lammishkan
And thou shalt set the golden altar for incense before the ark of the testimony, and put the screen of the door to the tabernacle.
6וְנָ֣תַתָּ֔ה אֵ֖ת מִזְבַּ֣ח הָעֹלָ֑ה לִפְנֵ֕י פֶּ֖תַח מִשְׁכַּ֥ן אֹֽהֶל־מוֹעֵֽד׃
venatatta et mizbach ha'ola lifne petach mishkan ohel-mo'ed
And thou shalt set the altar of burnt-offering before the door of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting.
7וְנָֽתַתָּ֙ אֶת־הַכִּיֹּ֔ר בֵּֽין־אֹ֥הֶל מוֹעֵ֖ד וּבֵ֣ין הַמִּזְבֵּ֑חַ וְנָתַתָּ֥ שָׁ֖ם מָֽיִם׃
venatatta et-hakkiyyor ben-ohel mo'ed uven hammizbeach venatatta sham mayim
And thou shalt set the laver between the tent of meeting and the altar, and shalt put water therein.
8וְשַׂמְתָּ֥ אֶת־הֶחָצֵ֖ר סָבִ֑יב וְנָ֣תַתָּ֔ אֶת־מָסַ֖ךְ שַׁ֥עַר הֶחָצֵֽר׃
vesamta et-hechatzer saviv venatatta et-masakh sha'ar hechatzer
And thou shalt set up the court round about, and hang up the screen of the gate of the court.
9וְלָקַחְתָּ֙ אֶת־שֶׁ֣מֶן הַמִּשְׁחָ֔ה וּמָשַׁחְתָּ֥ אֶת־הַמִּשְׁכָּ֖ן וְאֶת־כָּל־אֲשֶׁר־בּ֑וֹ וְקִדַּשְׁתָּ֥ אֹת֛וֹ וְאֶת־כָּל־כֵּלָ֖יו וְהָ֥יָה קֹֽדֶשׁ׃
velakachta et-shemen hammishcha umashachta et-hammishkan ve'et-kal-asher-bo vekiddashta oto ve'et-kal-kelav vehaya kodesh
And thou shalt take the anointing oil, and anoint the tabernacle, and all that is therein, and shalt hallow it, and all the furniture thereof; and it shall be holy.
10וּמָשַׁחְתָּ֛ אֶת־מִזְבַּ֥ח הָעֹלָ֖ה וְאֶת־כָּל־כֵּלָ֑יו וְקִדַּשְׁתָּ֙ אֶת־הַמִּזְבֵּ֔חַ וְהָיָ֥ה הַמִּזְבֵּ֖חַ קֹ֥דֶשׁ קָֽדָשִֽׁים׃
umashachta et-mizbach ha'ola ve'et-kal-kelav vekiddashta et-hammizbeach vehaya hammizbeach kodesh kadashim
And thou shalt anoint the altar of burnt-offering, and all its vessels, and sanctify the altar; and the altar shall be most holy.
11וּמָשַׁחְתָּ֥ אֶת־הַכִּיֹּ֖ר וְאֶת־כַּנּ֑וֹ וְקִדַּשְׁתָּ֖ אֹתֽוֹ׃
umashachta et-hakkiyyor ve'et-kanno vekiddashta oto
And thou shalt anoint the laver and its base, and sanctify it.
12וְהִקְרַבְתָּ֤ אֶֽת־אַהֲרֹן֙ וְאֶת־בָּנָ֔יו אֶל־פֶּ֖תַח אֹ֣הֶל מוֹעֵ֑ד וְרָחַצְתָּ֥ אֹתָ֖ם בַּמָּֽיִם׃
vehikravta et-aharon ve'et-banav el-petach ohel mo'ed verachatzta otam bammayim
And thou shalt bring Aaron and his sons unto the door of the tent of meeting, and shalt wash them with water.
13וְהִלְבַּשְׁתָּ֙ אֶֽת־אַהֲרֹ֔ן אֵ֖ת בִּגְדֵ֣י הַקֹּ֑דֶשׁ וּמָשַׁחְתָּ֥ אֹת֛וֹ וְקִדַּשְׁתָּ֥ אֹת֖וֹ וְכִהֵ֥ן לִֽי׃
vehilbashta et-aharon et bigde hakkodesh umashachta oto vekiddashta oto vekhihen li
And thou shalt put upon Aaron the holy garments; and thou shalt anoint him, and sanctify him, that he may minister unto Me in the priest’s office.
14וְאֶת־בָּנָ֖יו תַּקְרִ֑יב וְהִלְבַּשְׁתָּ֥ אֹתָ֖ם כֻּתֳּנֹֽת׃
ve'et-banav takriv vehilbashta otam kuttonot
And thou shalt bring his sons, and put tunics upon them.
15וּמָשַׁחְתָּ֣ אֹתָ֗ם כַּאֲשֶׁ֤ר מָשַׁ֨חְתָּ֙ אֶת־אֲבִיהֶ֔ם וְכִהֲנ֖וּ לִ֑י וְ֠הָיְתָה לִהְיֹ֨ת לָהֶ֧ם מָשְׁחָתָ֛ם לִכְהֻנַּ֥ת עוֹלָ֖ם לְדֹרֹתָֽם׃
umashachta otam ka'asher mashachta et-avihem vekhihanu li vehayta lihyot lahem mashchatam likhhunnat olam ledorotam
And thou shalt anoint them, as thou didst anoint their father, that they may minister unto Me in the priest’s office; and their anointing shall be to them for an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations.’
16וַיַּ֖עַשׂ מֹשֶׁ֑ה כְּ֠כֹל אֲשֶׁ֨ר צִוָּ֧ה יְהוָ֛ה אֹת֖וֹ כֵּ֥ן עָשָֽׂה׃
vayya'as moshe kekhol asher tzivva ADONAI oto ken asa
Thus did Moses; according to all that the LORD commanded him, so did he.
17וַיְהִ֞י בַּחֹ֧דֶשׁ הָרִאשׁ֛וֹן בַּשָּׁנָ֥ה הַשֵּׁנִ֖ית בְּאֶחָ֣ד לַחֹ֑דֶשׁ הוּקַ֖ם הַמִּשְׁכָּֽן׃
vayhi bachodesh harishon bashana hashenit be'echad lachodesh hukam hammishkan
And it came to pass in the first month in the second year, on the first day of the month, that the tabernacle was reared up.
18וַיָּ֨קֶם מֹשֶׁ֜ה אֶת־הַמִּשְׁכָּ֗ן וַיִּתֵּן֙ אֶת־אֲדָנָ֔יו וַיָּ֨שֶׂם֙ אֶת־קְרָשָׁ֔יו וַיִּתֵּ֖ן אֶת־בְּרִיחָ֑יו וַיָּ֖קֶם אֶת־עַמּוּדָֽיו׃
vayyakem moshe et-hammishkan vayyitten et-adanav vayyasem et-kerashav vayyitten et-berichav vayyakem et-ammudav
And Moses reared up the tabernacle, and laid its sockets, and set up the boards thereof, and put in the bars thereof, and reared up its pillars.
19וַיִּפְרֹ֤שׂ אֶת־הָאֹ֨הֶל֙ עַל־הַמִּשְׁכָּ֔ן וַיָּ֜שֶׂם אֶת־מִכְסֵ֥ה הָאֹ֛הֶל עָלָ֖יו מִלְמָ֑עְלָה כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר צִוָּ֥ה יְהוָ֖ה אֶת־מֹשֶֽׁה׃
vayyifros et-ha'ohel al-hammishkan vayyasem et-mikhse ha'ohel alav milma'la ka'asher tzivva ADONAI et-moshe
And he spread the tent over the tabernacle, and put the covering of the tent above upon it; as the LORD commanded Moses.
20וַיִּקַּ֞ח וַיִּתֵּ֤ן אֶת־הָעֵדֻת֙ אֶל־הָ֣אָרֹ֔ן וַיָּ֥שֶׂם אֶת־הַבַּדִּ֖ים עַל־הָאָרֹ֑ן וַיִּתֵּ֧ן אֶת־הַכַּפֹּ֛רֶת עַל־הָאָרֹ֖ן מִלְמָֽעְלָה׃
vayyikkach vayyitten et-ha'edut el-ha'aron vayyasem et-habbaddim al-ha'aron vayyitten et-hakkapporet al-ha'aron milma'la
And he took and put the testimony into the ark, and set the staves on the ark, and put the ark-cover above upon the ark.
21וַיָּבֵ֣א אֶת־הָאָרֹן֮ אֶל־הַמִּשְׁכָּן֒ וַיָּ֗שֶׂם אֵ֚ת פָּרֹ֣כֶת הַמָּסָ֔ךְ וַיָּ֕סֶךְ עַ֖ל אֲר֣וֹן הָעֵד֑וּת כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר צִוָּ֥ה יְהוָ֖ה אֶת־מֹשֶֽׁה׃
vayyave et-ha'aron el-hammishkan vayyasem et parokhet hammasakh vayyasekh al aron ha'edut ka'asher tzivva ADONAI et-moshe
And he brought the ark into the tabernacle, and set up the veil of the screen, and screened the ark of the testimony; as the LORD commanded Moses.
22וַיִּתֵּ֤ן אֶת־הַשֻּׁלְחָן֙ בְּאֹ֣הֶל מוֹעֵ֔ד עַ֛ל יֶ֥רֶךְ הַמִּשְׁכָּ֖ן צָפֹ֑נָה מִח֖וּץ לַפָּרֹֽכֶת׃
vayyitten et-hashulchan be'ohel mo'ed al yerekh hammishkan tzafona michutz lapparokhet
And he put the table in the tent of meeting, upon the side of the tabernacle northward, without the veil.
23וַיַּעֲרֹ֥ךְ עָלָ֛יו עֵ֥רֶךְ לֶ֖חֶם לִפְנֵ֣י יְהוָ֑ה כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר צִוָּ֥ה יְהוָ֖ה אֶת־מֹשֶֽׁה׃
vayya'arokh alav erekh lechem lifne ADONAI ka'asher tzivva ADONAI et-moshe
And he set a row of bread in order upon it before the LORD; as the LORD commanded Moses.
24וַיָּ֤שֶׂם אֶת־הַמְּנֹרָה֙ בְּאֹ֣הֶל מוֹעֵ֔ד נֹ֖כַח הַשֻּׁלְחָ֑ן עַ֛ל יֶ֥רֶךְ הַמִּשְׁכָּ֖ן נֶֽגְבָּה׃
vayyasem et-hammenora be'ohel mo'ed nokhach hashulchan al yerekh hammishkan negba
And he put the candlestick in the tent of meeting, over against the table, on the side of the tabernacle southward.
25וַיַּ֥עַל הַנֵּרֹ֖ת לִפְנֵ֣י יְהוָ֑ה כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר צִוָּ֥ה יְהוָ֖ה אֶת־מֹשֶֽׁה׃
vayya'al hannerot lifne ADONAI ka'asher tzivva ADONAI et-moshe
And he lighted the lamps before the LORD; as the LORD commanded Moses.
26וַיָּ֛שֶׂם אֶת־מִזְבַּ֥ח הַזָּהָ֖ב בְּאֹ֣הֶל מוֹעֵ֑ד לִפְנֵ֖י הַפָּרֹֽכֶת׃
vayyasem et-mizbach hazzahav be'ohel mo'ed lifne happarokhet
And he put the golden altar in the tent of meeting before the veil;
27וַיַּקְטֵ֥ר עָלָ֖יו קְטֹ֣רֶת סַמִּ֑ים כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר צִוָּ֥ה יְהוָ֖ה אֶת־מֹשֶֽׁה׃
vayyakter alav ketoret sammim ka'asher tzivva ADONAI et-moshe
and he burnt thereon incense of sweet spices; as the LORD commanded Moses.
28וַיָּ֛שֶׂם אֶת־מָסַ֥ךְ הַפֶּ֖תַח לַמִּשְׁכָּֽן׃
vayyasem et-masakh happetach lammishkan
And he put the screen of the door to the tabernacle.
29וְאֵת֙ מִזְבַּ֣ח הָעֹלָ֔ה שָׂ֕ם פֶּ֖תַח מִשְׁכַּ֣ן אֹֽהֶל־מוֹעֵ֑ד וַיַּ֣עַל עָלָ֗יו אֶת־הָעֹלָה֙ וְאֶת־הַמִּנְחָ֔ה כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר צִוָּ֥ה יְהוָ֖ה אֶת־מֹשֶֽׁה׃
ve'et mizbach ha'ola sam petach mishkan ohel-mo'ed vayya'al alav et-ha'ola ve'et-hammincha ka'asher tzivva ADONAI et-moshe
And the altar of burnt-offering he set at the door of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting, and offered upon it the burnt-offering and the meal-offering; as the LORD commanded Moses.
30וַיָּ֨שֶׂם֙ אֶת־הַכִּיֹּ֔ר בֵּֽין־אֹ֥הֶל מוֹעֵ֖ד וּבֵ֣ין הַמִּזְבֵּ֑חַ וַיִּתֵּ֥ן שָׁ֛מָּה מַ֖יִם לְרָחְצָֽה׃
vayyasem et-hakkiyyor ben-ohel mo'ed uven hammizbeach vayyitten shamma mayim lerachtza
And he set the laver between the tent of meeting and the altar, and put water therein, wherewith to wash;
31וְרָחֲצ֣וּ מִמֶּ֔נּוּ מֹשֶׁ֖ה וְאַהֲרֹ֣ן וּבָנָ֑יו אֶת־יְדֵיהֶ֖ם וְאֶת־רַגְלֵיהֶֽם׃
verachatzu mimmennu moshe ve'aharon uvanav et-yedehem ve'et-raglehem
that Moses and Aaron and his sons might wash their hands and their feet thereat;
32בְּבֹאָ֞ם אֶל־אֹ֣הֶל מוֹעֵ֗ד וּבְקָרְבָתָ֛ם אֶל־הַמִּזְבֵּ֖חַ יִרְחָ֑צוּ כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר צִוָּ֥ה יְהוָ֖ה אֶת־מֹשֶֽׁה׃
bevo'am el-ohel mo'ed uvekarvatam el-hammizbeach yirchatzu ka'asher tzivva ADONAI et-moshe
when they went into the tent of meeting, and when they came near unto the altar, they should wash; as the LORD commanded Moses.
33וַיָּ֣קֶם אֶת־הֶחָצֵ֗ר סָבִיב֙ לַמִּשְׁכָּ֣ן וְלַמִּזְבֵּ֔חַ וַיִּתֵּ֕ן אֶת־מָסַ֖ךְ שַׁ֣עַר הֶחָצֵ֑ר וַיְכַ֥ל מֹשֶׁ֖ה אֶת־הַמְּלָאכָֽה׃
vayyakem et-hechatzer saviv lammishkan velammizbeach vayyitten et-masakh sha'ar hechatzer vaykhal moshe et-hammelakha
And he reared up the court round about the tabernacle and the altar, and set up the screen of the gate of the court. So Moses finished the work.
34וַיְכַ֥ס הֶעָנָ֖ן אֶת־אֹ֣הֶל מוֹעֵ֑ד וּכְב֣וֹד יְהוָ֔ה מָלֵ֖א אֶת־הַמִּשְׁכָּֽן׃
vaykhas he'anan et-ohel mo'ed ukhevod ADONAI male et-hammishkan
Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.
35וְלֹא־יָכֹ֣ל מֹשֶׁ֗ה לָבוֹא֙ אֶל־אֹ֣הֶל מוֹעֵ֔ד כִּֽי־שָׁכַ֥ן עָלָ֖יו הֶעָנָ֑ן וּכְב֣וֹד יְהוָ֔ה מָלֵ֖א אֶת־הַמִּשְׁכָּֽן׃
velo-yakhol moshe lavo el-ohel mo'ed ki-shakhan alav he'anan ukhevod ADONAI male et-hammishkan
And Moses was not able to enter into the tent of meeting, because the cloud abode thereon, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.—
36וּבְהֵעָל֤וֹת הֶֽעָנָן֙ מֵעַ֣ל הַמִּשְׁכָּ֔ן יִסְע֖וּ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל בְּכֹ֖ל מַסְעֵיהֶֽם׃
uvehe'alot he'anan me'al hammishkan yis'u bene yisra'el bekhol mas'ehem
And whenever the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the children of Israel went onward, throughout all their journeys.
37וְאִם־לֹ֥א יֵעָלֶ֖ה הֶעָנָ֑ן וְלֹ֣א יִסְע֔וּ עַד־י֖וֹם הֵעָלֹתֽוֹ׃
ve'im-lo ye'ale he'anan velo yis'u ad-yom he'aloto
But if the cloud was not taken up, then they journeyed not till the day that it was taken up.
38כִּי֩ עֲנַ֨ן יְהוָ֤ה עַֽל־הַמִּשְׁכָּן֙ יוֹמָ֔ם וְאֵ֕שׁ תִּהְיֶ֥ה לַ֖יְלָה בּ֑וֹ לְעֵינֵ֥י כָל־בֵּֽית־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל בְּכָל־מַסְעֵיהֶֽם׃
ki anan ADONAI al-hammishkan yomam ve'esh tihye layla bo le'ene khal-bet-yisra'el bekhal-mas'ehem
For the cloud of the LORD was upon the tabernacle by day, and there was fire therein by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.—
