¹אָדָ֥ם שֵׁ֖ת אֱנֽוֹשׁ׃

1ADAM, SETH, Enosh;

²קֵינָ֥ן מַהֲלַלְאֵ֖ל יָֽרֶד׃

2Kenan, Mahalalel, Jared;

³חֲנ֥וֹךְ מְתוּשֶׁ֖לַח לָֽמֶךְ׃

chanokh metushelach lamekh

3Enoch, Methuselah, Lamech;

⁴נֹ֥חַ שֵׁ֖ם חָ֥ם וָיָֽפֶת׃

noach shem cham vayafet

4Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

⁵בְּנֵ֣י יֶ֔פֶת גֹּ֣מֶר וּמָג֔וֹג וּמָדַ֖י וְיָוָ֣ן וְתֻבָ֑ל וּמֶ֖שֶׁךְ וְתִירָֽס׃

bene yefet gomer umagog umaday veyavan vetuval umeshekh vetiras

5The sons of Japheth: Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.

⁶וּבְנֵ֖י גֹּ֑מֶר אַשְׁכֲּנַ֥ז וְדִיפַ֖ת וְתוֹגַרְמָֽה׃

uvene gomer ashkanaz vedifat vetogarma

6And the sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, and Diphath, and Togarmah.

⁷וּבְנֵ֥י יָוָ֖ן אֱלִישָׁ֣ה וְתַרְשִׁ֑ישָׁה כִּתִּ֖ים וְרוֹדָנִֽים׃

uvene yavan elisha vetarshisha kittim verodanim

7And the sons of Javan: Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Rodanim.

⁸בְּנֵ֖י חָ֑ם כּ֥וּשׁ וּמִצְרַ֖יִם פּ֥וּט וּכְנָֽעַן׃

bene cham kush umitzrayim put ukhena'an

8The sons of Ham: Cush, and Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.

⁹וּבְנֵ֣י כ֔וּשׁ סְבָא֙ וַחֲוִילָ֔ה וְסַבְתָּ֥א וְרַעְמָ֖א וְסַבְתְּכָ֑א וּבְנֵ֥י רַעְמָ֖א שְׁבָ֥א וּדְדָֽן׃

uvene khush seva vachavila vesavta vera'ma vesavtekha uvene ra'ma sheva udedan

9And the sons of Cush: Seba, and Havilah, and Sabta, and Raama, and Sabteca. And the sons of Raama: Sheba, and Dedan.

¹⁰וְכ֖וּשׁ יָלַ֣ד אֶת־נִמְר֑וֹד ה֣וּא הֵחֵ֔ל לִהְי֥וֹת גִּבּ֖וֹר בָּאָֽרֶץ׃

vekhush yalad et-nimrod hu hechel lihyot gibbor ba'aretz

10And Cush begot Nimrod; he began to be a mighty one in the earth.

¹¹וּמִצְרַ֡יִם יָלַ֞ד אֶת־לודיים [לוּדִ֧ים] וְאֶת־עֲנָמִ֛ים וְאֶת־לְהָבִ֖ים וְאֶת־נַפְתֻּחִֽים׃

umitzrayim yalad et-ludim ve'et-anamim ve'et-lehavim ve'et-naftuchim

11And Mizraim begot Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim,

¹²וְֽאֶת־פַּתְרֻסִ֞ים וְאֶת־כַּסְלֻחִ֗ים אֲשֶׁ֨ר יָצְא֥וּ מִשָּׁ֛ם פְּלִשְׁתִּ֖ים וְאֶת־כַּפְתֹּרִֽים׃

ve'et-patrusim ve'et-kasluchim asher yatzu misham pelishtim ve'et-kaftorim

12and Pathrusim, and Casluhim—from whence came the Philistines—and Caphtorim.

¹³וּכְנַ֗עַן יָלַ֛ד אֶת־צִיד֥וֹן בְּכֹר֖וֹ וְאֶת־חֵֽת׃

ukhena'an yalad et-tzidon bekhoro ve'et-chet

13And Canaan begot Zidon his first-born, and Heth;

¹⁴וְאֶת־הַיְבוּסִי֙ וְאֶת־הָ֣אֱמֹרִ֔י וְאֵ֖ת הַגִּרְגָּשִֽׁי׃

ve'et-hayvusi ve'et-ha'emori ve'et haggirgashi

14and the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite;

¹⁵וְאֶת־הַחִוִּ֥י וְאֶת־הַֽעַרְקִ֖י וְאֶת־הַסִּינִֽי׃

ve'et-hachivvi ve'et-ha'arki ve'et-hassini

15and the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite;

¹⁶וְאֶת־הָאַרְוָדִ֥י וְאֶת־הַצְּמָרִ֖י וְאֶת־הַֽחֲמָתִֽי׃

ve'et-ha'arvadi ve'et-hatzemari ve'et-hachamati

16and the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite.

¹⁷בְּנֵ֣י שֵׁ֔ם עֵילָ֣ם וְאַשּׁ֔וּר וְאַרְפַּכְשַׁ֖ד וְל֣וּד וַאֲרָ֑ם וְע֥וּץ וְח֖וּל וְגֶ֥תֶר וָמֶֽשֶׁךְ׃

bene shem elam ve'ashur ve'arpakhshad velud va'aram ve'utz vechul vegeter vameshekh

17The Sons of Shem: Elam, and Asshur, and Arpachshad, and Lud, and Aram, and Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Meshech.

¹⁸וְאַרְפַּכְשַׁ֖ד יָלַ֣ד אֶת־שָׁ֑לַח וְשֶׁ֖לַח יָלַ֥ד אֶת־עֵֽבֶר׃

ve'arpakhshad yalad et-shalach veshelach yalad et-ever

18And Arpachshad begot Shelah, and Shelah begot Eber.

¹⁹וּלְעֵ֥בֶר יֻלַּ֖ד שְׁנֵ֣י בָנִ֑ים שֵׁ֣ם הָאֶחָ֞ד פֶּ֗לֶג כִּ֤י בְיָמָיו֙ נִפְלְגָ֣ה הָאָ֔רֶץ וְשֵׁ֥ם אָחִ֖יו יָקְטָֽן׃

ule'ever yullad shene vanim shem ha'echad peleg ki veyamav niflega ha'aretz veshem achiv yaktan

19And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg; for in his days the earth was divided; and his brother’s name was Joktan.

²⁰וְיָקְטָ֣ן יָלַ֔ד אֶת־אַלְמוֹדָ֖ד וְאֶת־שָׁ֑לֶף וְאֶת־חֲצַרְמָ֖וֶת וְאֶת־יָֽרַח׃

veyaktan yalad et-almodad ve'et-shalef ve'et-chatzarmavet ve'et-yarach

20And Joktan begot Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah;

²¹וְאֶת־הֲדוֹרָ֥ם וְאֶת־אוּזָ֖ל וְאֶת־דִּקְלָֽה׃

ve'et-hadoram ve'et-uzal ve'et-dikla

21and Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah;

²²וְאֶת־עֵיבָ֥ל וְאֶת־אֲבִימָאֵ֖ל וְאֶת־שְׁבָֽא׃

ve'et-eval ve'et-avima'el ve'et-sheva

22and Ebal, and Abimael, and Sheba;

²³וְאֶת־אוֹפִ֥יר וְאֶת־חֲוִילָ֖ה וְאֶת־יוֹבָ֑ב כָּל־אֵ֖לֶּה בְּנֵ֥י יָקְטָֽן׃

ve'et-ofir ve'et-chavila ve'et-yovav kal-elle bene yaktan

23and Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan.

²⁴שֵׁ֥ם ׀ אַרְפַּכְשַׁ֖ד שָֽׁלַח׃

shem arpakhshad shalach

24Shem, Arpachshad, Shelah;

²⁵עֵ֥בֶר פֶּ֖לֶג רְעֽוּ׃

ever peleg re'u

25Eber, Peleg, Reu;

²⁶שְׂר֥וּג נָח֖וֹר תָּֽרַח׃

serug nachor tarach

26Serug, Nahor, Terah;

²⁷אַבְרָ֖ם ה֥וּא אַבְרָהָֽם׃

avram hu avraham

27Abram—the same is Abraham.

²⁸בְּנֵי֙ אַבְרָהָ֔ם יִצְחָ֖ק וְיִשְׁמָעֵֽאל׃

bene avraham yitzchak veyishma'el

28The sons of Abraham: Isaac, and Ishmael.

²⁹אֵ֖לֶּה תֹּלְדוֹתָ֑ם בְּכ֤וֹר יִשְׁמָעֵאל֙ נְבָי֔וֹת וְקֵדָ֥ר וְאַדְבְּאֵ֖ל וּמִבְשָֽׂם׃

elle toldotam bekhor yishma'el nevayot vekedar ve'adbe'el umivsam

29These are their generations: the first-born of Ishmael, Nebaioth; then Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,

³⁰מִשְׁמָ֣ע וְדוּמָ֔ה מַשָּׂ֖א חֲדַ֥ד וְתֵימָֽא׃

mishma' veduma massa chadad vetema

30Mishma, and Dumah, Massa, Hadad, and Tema,

³¹יְט֥וּר נָפִ֖ישׁ וָקֵ֑דְמָה אֵ֥לֶּה הֵ֖ם בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׁמָעֵֽאל׃

yetur nafish vakedma elle hem bene yishma'el

31Jetur, Naphish, and Kedem. These are the sons of Ishmael.

³²וּבְנֵ֨י קְטוּרָ֜ה פִּילֶ֣גֶשׁ אַבְרָהָ֗ם יָלְדָ֞ה אֶת־זִמְרָ֧ן וְיָקְשָׁ֛ן וּמְדָ֥ן וּמִדְיָ֖ן וְיִשְׁבָּ֣ק וְשׁ֑וּחַ וּבְנֵ֥י יָקְשָׁ֖ן שְׁבָ֥א וּדְדָֽן׃

uvene ketura pilegesh avraham yalda et-zimran veyakshan umedan umidyan veyishbak veshuach uvene yakshan sheva udedan

32And the sons of Keturah, Abraham’s concubine: she bore Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah. And the sons of Jokshan: Sheba, and Dedan.

³³וּבְנֵ֣י מִדְיָ֗ן עֵיפָ֤ה וָעֵ֨פֶר֙ וַחֲנ֔וֹךְ וַאֲבִידָ֖ע וְאֶלְדָּעָ֑ה כָּל־אֵ֖לֶּה בְּנֵ֥י קְטוּרָֽה׃

uvene midyan efa va'efer vachanokh va'avida' ve'elda'a kal-elle bene ketura

33And the sons of Midian: Ephah, and Epher, and Hanoch, and Abida, and Eldaah. All these were the sons of Keturah.

³⁴וַיּ֥וֹלֶד אַבְרָהָ֖ם אֶת־יִצְחָ֑ק בְּנֵ֣י יִצְחָ֔ק עֵשָׂ֖ו וְיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

vayyoled avraham et-yitzchak bene yitzchak esav veyisra'el

34And Abraham begot Isaac. The sons of Isaac: Esau, and Israel.

³⁵בְּנֵ֖י עֵשָׂ֑ו אֱלִיפַ֛ז רְעוּאֵ֥ל וִיע֖וּשׁ וְיַעְלָ֥ם וְקֹֽרַח׃

bene esav elifaz re'u'el vi'ush veya'lam vekorach

35The sons of Esau: Eliphaz, Reuel, and Jeush, and Jalam and Korah.

³⁶בְּנֵ֖י אֱלִיפָ֑ז תֵּימָ֤ן וְאוֹמָר֙ צְפִ֣י וְגַעְתָּ֔ם קְנַ֖ז וְתִמְנָ֥ע וַעֲמָלֵֽק׃

bene elifaz teman veomar tzefi vega'tam kenaz vetimna' va'amalek

36The sons of Eliphaz: Teman, and Omar, Zephi, and Gatam, Kenaz, and Timna, and Amalek.

³⁷בְּנֵ֖י רְעוּאֵ֑ל נַ֥חַת זֶ֖רַח שַׁמָּ֥ה וּמִזָּֽה׃

bene re'u'el nachat zerach shamma umizza

37The sons of Reuel: Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah.

³⁸וּבְנֵ֣י שֵׂעִ֔יר לוֹטָ֥ן וְשׁוֹבָ֖ל וְצִבְע֣וֹן וַֽעֲנָ֑ה וְדִישֹׁ֥ן וְאֵ֖צֶר וְדִישָֽׁן׃

uvene se'ir lotan veshoval vetziv'on va'ana vedishon ve'etzer vedishan

38And the sons of Seir: Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah, and Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan.

³⁹וּבְנֵ֥י לוֹטָ֖ן חֹרִ֣י וְהוֹמָ֑ם וַאֲח֥וֹת לוֹטָ֖ן תִּמְנָֽע׃

uvene lotan chori vehomam va'achot lotan timna'

39And the sons of Lotan: Hori, and Homam; and Timna was Lotan’s sister.

⁴⁰בְּנֵ֣י שׁוֹבָ֔ל עַלְיָ֧ן וּמָנַ֛חַת וְעֵיבָ֖ל שְׁפִ֣י וְאוֹנָ֑ם וּבְנֵ֥י צִבְע֖וֹן אַיָּ֥ה וַעֲנָֽה׃

bene shoval alyan umanachat ve'eval shefi veonam uvene tziv'on ayya va'ana

40The sons of Shobal: Alian, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shephi, and Onam. And the sons of Zibeon: Aiah, and Anah.

⁴¹בְּנֵ֥י עֲנָ֖ה דִּישׁ֑וֹן וּבְנֵ֣י דִישׁ֔וֹן חַמְרָ֥ן וְאֶשְׁבָּ֖ן וְיִתְרָ֥ן וּכְרָֽן׃

bene ana dishon uvene dishon chamran ve'eshban veyitran ukheran

41The sons of Anah: Dishon. And the sons of Dishon: Hamran, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran.

⁴²בְּֽנֵי־אֵ֔צֶר בִּלְהָ֥ן וְזַעֲוָ֖ן יַעֲקָ֑ן בְּנֵ֥י דִישׁ֖וֹן ע֥וּץ וַאֲרָֽן׃

bene-etzer bilhan veza'avan ya'akan bene dishon utz va'aran

42The sons of Ezer: Bilhan, and Zaavan, Jaakan. The sons of Dishan: Uz, and Aran.

⁴³וְאֵ֣לֶּה הַמְּלָכִ֗ים אֲשֶׁ֤ר מָלְכוּ֙ בְּאֶ֣רֶץ אֱד֔וֹם לִפְנֵ֥י מְלָךְ־מֶ֖לֶךְ לִבְנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל בֶּ֚לַע בֶּן־בְּע֔וֹר וְשֵׁ֥ם עִיר֖וֹ דִּנְהָֽבָה׃

ve'elle hammelakhim asher malkhu be'eretz edom lifne melakh-melekh livne yisra'el bela' ben-be'or veshem iro dinhava

43Now these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom, before their reigned any king over the children of Israel: Bela the son of Beor; and the name of his city was Dinhabah.

⁴⁴וַיָּ֖מָת בָּ֑לַע וַיִּמְלֹ֣ךְ תַּחְתָּ֔יו יוֹבָ֥ב בֶּן־זֶ֖רַח מִבָּצְרָֽה׃

vayyamat bala' vayyimlokh tachtav yovav ben-zerach mibbatzra

44And Bela died, and Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his stead.

⁴⁵וַיָּ֖מָת יוֹבָ֑ב וַיִּמְלֹ֣ךְ תַּחְתָּ֔יו חוּשָׁ֖ם מֵאֶ֥רֶץ הַתֵּימָנִֽי׃

vayyamat yovav vayyimlokh tachtav chusham me'eretz hattemani

45And Jobab died, and Husham of the land of the Temanites reigned in his stead.

⁴⁶וַיָּ֖מָת חוּשָׁ֑ם וַיִּמְלֹ֨ךְ תַּחְתָּ֜יו הֲדַ֣ד בֶּן־בְּדַ֗ד הַמַּכֶּ֤ה אֶת־מִדְיָן֙ בִּשְׂדֵ֣ה מוֹאָ֔ב וְשֵׁ֥ם עִיר֖וֹ עיות [עֲוִֽית]׃

vayyamat chusham vayyimlokh tachtav hadad ben-bedad hammakke et-midyan bisde mo'av veshem iro avit

46And Husham died, and Hadad the son of Bedad, who smote Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his stead; and the name of his city was Avith.

⁴⁷וַיָּ֖מָת הֲדָ֑ד וַיִּמְלֹ֣ךְ תַּחְתָּ֔יו שַׂמְלָ֖ה מִמַּשְׂרֵקָֽה׃

vayyamat hadad vayyimlokh tachtav samla mimmasreka

47And Hadad died, and Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his stead.

⁴⁸וַיָּ֖מָת שַׂמְלָ֑ה וַיִּמְלֹ֣ךְ תַּחְתָּ֔יו שָׁא֖וּל מֵרְחֹב֥וֹת הַנָּהָֽר׃

vayyamat samla vayyimlokh tachtav shaul merchovot hannahar

48And Samlah died, and Shaul of Rehoboth by the River reigned in his stead.

⁴⁹וַיָּ֖מָת שָׁא֑וּל וַיִּמְלֹ֣ךְ תַּחְתָּ֔יו בַּ֥עַל חָנָ֖ן בֶּן־עַכְבּֽוֹר׃

vayyamat shaul vayyimlokh tachtav ba'al chanan ben-akhbor

49And Shaul died, and Baal-hanan the son of Achbor reigned in his stead.

⁵⁰וַיָּ֨מָת֙ בַּ֣עַל חָנָ֔ן וַיִּמְלֹ֤ךְ תַּחְתָּיו֙ הֲדַ֔ד וְשֵׁ֥ם עִיר֖וֹ פָּ֑עִי וְשֵׁ֨ם אִשְׁתּ֤וֹ מְהֵיטַבְאֵל֙ בַּת־מַטְרֵ֔ד בַּ֖ת מֵ֥י זָהָֽב׃

vayyamat ba'al chanan vayyimlokh tachtav hadad veshem iro pa'i veshem ishto mehetav'el bat-matred bat me zahav

50And Baal-hanan died, and Hadad reigned in his stead; and the name of his city was Pai; and his wife’s name was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab.

⁵¹וַיָּ֖מָת הֲדָ֑ד וַיִּהְיוּ֙ אַלּוּפֵ֣י אֱד֔וֹם אַלּ֥וּף תִּמְנָ֛ע אַלּ֥וּף עליה [עַֽלְוָ֖ה] אַלּ֥וּף יְתֵֽת׃

vayyamat hadad vayyihyu allufe edom alluf timna' alluf alva alluf yetet

51And Hadad died. And the chiefs of Edom were: the chief of Timna, the chief of Alvah, the chief of Jetheth;

⁵²אַלּ֧וּף אָהֳלִיבָמָ֛ה אַלּ֥וּף אֵלָ֖ה אַלּ֥וּף פִּינֹֽן׃

alluf aholivama alluf ela alluf pinon

52the chief of Oholibamah, the chief of Elah, the chief of Pinon;

⁵³אַלּ֥וּף קְנַ֛ז אַלּ֥וּף תֵּימָ֖ן אַלּ֣וּף מִבְצָֽר׃

alluf kenaz alluf teman alluf mivtzar

53the chief of Kenaz, the chief of Teman, the chief of Mibzar;

⁵⁴אַלּ֥וּף מַגְדִּיאֵ֖ל אַלּ֣וּף עִירָ֑ם אֵ֖לֶּה אַלּוּפֵ֥י אֱדֽוֹם׃

alluf magdi'el alluf iram elle allufe edom

54the chief of Magdiel, the chief of Iram. These are the chiefs of Edom.
