Is Jesus (Yeshua) really the Messiah?
That's the question this whole site invites you to test. The Tanakh gives signs: a son of David, born in Bethlehem, who suffers for others, comes before the Second Temple falls, and brings the nations to Israel's God. Yeshua fits them in a way no one else has.
The Hebrew Scriptures don't give one prophecy but a portrait: a descendant of David (2 Samuel 7), from Bethlehem (Micah 5:1), a servant who carries others' sins (Isaiah 53), who comes while the Temple still stands (Malachi 3:1, Daniel 9:26), and through whom the nations come to know the God of Israel (Isaiah 49:6).
Today, about two thousand years later, billions of non-Jews worship the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob because of one Jewish man. That alone is worth weighing.
You don't have to take anyone's word for it, including ours. Read the passages in Hebrew and in a Jewish translation, side by side with the New Covenant, and ask who they describe.
In the Scriptures
1But thou, Beth-lehem Ephrathah, Which art little to be among the thousands of Judah, Out of thee shall one come forth unto Me that is to be ruler in Israel; Whose goings forth are from of old, from ancient days.
26And after the threescore and two weeks shall an anointed one be cut off, and be no more; and the people of a prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; but his end shall be with a flood; and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
6Yea, He saith: ‘It is too light a thing that thou shouldest be My servant To raise up the tribes of Jacob, And to restore the offspring of Israel; I will also give thee for a light of the nations, That My salvation may be unto the end of the earth.’
