JPS 1917 · Jewish translation

13I saw in the night visions, And, behold, there came with the clouds of heaven One like unto a son of man, And he came even to the Ancient of days, And he was brought near before Him.

14And there was given him dominion, And glory, and a kingdom, That all the peoples, nations, and languages Should serve him; His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, And his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

World Messianic Bible

13“I saw in the night visions, and behold, there came with the clouds of the sky one like a son of man, and he came even to the Ancient of Days, and they brought him near before him.

14Dominion was given him, and glory, and a kingdom, that all the peoples, nations, and languages should serve him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which will not pass away, and his kingdom one that will not be destroyed.

Fulfilment · New CovenantWMB

Mark 14:61-62 But he stayed quiet, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, “Are you the Messiah, the Son of the Blessed?” Yeshua said, “I am. You will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of Power, and coming with the clouds of the sky.”

Matthew 26:64 Yeshua said to him, “You have said so. Nevertheless, I tell you, after this you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of Power, and coming on the clouds of the sky.”

Revelation 1:7 Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, including those who pierced him. All the tribes of the earth will mourn over him. Even so, Amen.

How rabbinic tradition reads it

The Talmud (Sanhedrin 98a) reads him as the Messiah: if Israel is worthy he comes "with the clouds", if not, "lowly, riding on a donkey" (Zechariah 9:9).

Why Messianic Jews read it as Yeshua

Yeshua's favourite name for himself was "the Son of Man". At his trial he quoted Daniel 7:13, and the high priest tore his robes.
