1לְדָוִ֗ד בְּשַׁנּוֹת֣וֹ אֶת־טַ֭עְמוֹ לִפְנֵ֣י אֲבִימֶ֑לֶךְ וַֽ֝יְגָרֲשֵׁ֗הוּ וַיֵּלַֽךְ׃
ledavid beshannoto et-ta'mo lifne avimelekh vaygarashehu vayyelakh
[A Psalm] of David; when he changed his demeanour before Abimelech, who drove him away, and he departed.
2אֲבָרֲכָ֣ה אֶת־יְהוָ֣ה בְּכָל־עֵ֑ת תָּ֝מִ֗יד תְּֽהִלָּת֥וֹ בְּפִֽי׃
avarakha et-ADONAI bekhal-et tamid tehillato befi
I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
3בַּ֭יהוָה תִּתְהַלֵּ֣ל נַפְשִׁ֑י יִשְׁמְע֖וּ עֲנָוִ֣ים וְיִשְׂמָֽחוּ׃
baADONAI tithallel nafshi yishme'u anavim veyismachu
My soul shall glory in the LORD; The humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.
4גַּדְּל֣וּ לַיהוָ֣ה אִתִּ֑י וּנְרוֹמְמָ֖ה שְׁמ֣וֹ יַחְדָּֽו׃
gaddelu laADONAI itti uneromma shemo yachdav
O magnify the LORD with me, And let us exalt His name together.
5דָּרַ֣שְׁתִּי אֶת־יְהוָ֣ה וְעָנָ֑נִי וּמִכָּל־מְ֝גוּרוֹתַ֗י הִצִּילָֽנִי׃
darashti et-ADONAI ve'anani umikkal-megurotay hitzilani
I sought the LORD, and He answered me, And delivered me from all my fears.
6הִבִּ֣יטוּ אֵלָ֣יו וְנָהָ֑רוּ וּ֝פְנֵיהֶ֗ם אַל־יֶחְפָּֽרוּ׃
hibbitu elav venaharu ufenehem al-yechparu
They looked unto Him, and were radiant; And their faces shall never be abashed.
7זֶ֤ה עָנִ֣י קָ֭רָא וַיהוָ֣ה שָׁמֵ֑עַ וּמִכָּל־צָ֝רוֹתָ֗יו הוֹשִׁיעֽוֹ׃
ze ani kara veADONAI shamea umikkal-tzarotav hoshi'o
This poor man cried, and the LORD heard, And saved him out of all his troubles.
8חֹנֶ֤ה מַלְאַךְ־יְהוָ֓ה סָ֘בִ֤יב לִֽירֵאָ֗יו וַֽיְחַלְּצֵֽם׃
chone mal'akh-ADONAI saviv lire'av vaychalletzem
The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear Him, And delivereth them.
9טַעֲמ֣וּ וּ֭רְאוּ כִּי־ט֣וֹב יְהוָ֑ה אַֽשְׁרֵ֥י הַ֝גֶּ֗בֶר יֶחֱסֶה־בּֽוֹ׃
ta'amu ureu ki-tov ADONAI ashre haggever yechese-bo
O consider and see that the LORD is good; Happy is the man that taketh refuge in Him.
10יְר֣אוּ אֶת־יְהוָ֣ה קְדֹשָׁ֑יו כִּי־אֵ֥ין מַ֝חְס֗וֹר לִירֵאָֽיו׃
yeru et-ADONAI kedoshav ki-en machsor lire'av
O fear the LORD, ye His holy ones; For there is no want to them that fear Him.
11כְּ֭פִירִים רָשׁ֣וּ וְרָעֵ֑בוּ וְדֹרְשֵׁ֥י יְ֝הוָ֗ה לֹא־יַחְסְר֥וּ כָל־טֽוֹב׃
kefirim rashu vera'evu vedorshe ADONAI lo-yachseru khal-tov
The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger; But they that seek the LORD want not any good thing.
12לְֽכוּ־בָ֭נִים שִׁמְעוּ־לִ֑י יִֽרְאַ֥ת יְ֝הוָ֗ה אֲלַמֶּדְכֶֽם׃
lekhu-vanim shim'u-li yir'at ADONAI alammedkhem
Come, ye children, hearken unto me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD.
13מִֽי־הָ֭אִישׁ הֶחָפֵ֣ץ חַיִּ֑ים אֹהֵ֥ב יָ֝מִ֗ים לִרְא֥וֹת טֽוֹב׃
mi-ha'ish hechafetz chayyim ohev yamim lirot tov
Who is the man that desireth life, and loveth days, That he may see good therein?
14נְצֹ֣ר לְשׁוֹנְךָ֣ מֵרָ֑ע וּ֝שְׂפָתֶ֗יךָ מִדַּבֵּ֥ר מִרְמָֽה׃
netzor leshonkha mera' usefatekha middabber mirma
Keep thy tongue from evil, And thy lips from speaking guile.
15ס֣וּר מֵ֭רָע וַעֲשֵׂה־ט֑וֹב בַּקֵּ֖שׁ שָׁל֣וֹם וְרָדְפֵֽהוּ׃
sur mera' va'ase-tov bakkesh shalom veradfehu
Depart from evil, and do good; Seek peace, and pursue it.
16עֵינֵ֣י יְ֭הוָה אֶל־צַדִּיקִ֑ים וְ֝אָזְנָ֗יו אֶל־שַׁוְעָתָֽם׃
ene ADONAI el-tzaddikim ve'aznav el-shav'atam
The eyes of the LORD are toward the righteous, And His ears are open unto their cry.
17פְּנֵ֣י יְ֭הוָה בְּעֹ֣שֵׂי רָ֑ע לְהַכְרִ֖ית מֵאֶ֣רֶץ זִכְרָֽם׃
pene ADONAI be'ose ra' lehakhrit me'eretz zikhram
The face of the LORD is against them that do evil, To cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.
18צָעֲק֣וּ וַיהוָ֣ה שָׁמֵ֑עַ וּמִכָּל־צָ֝רוֹתָ֗ם הִצִּילָֽם׃
tza'aku veADONAI shamea umikkal-tzarotam hitzilam
They cried, and the LORD heard, And delivered them out of all their troubles.
19קָר֣וֹב יְ֭הוָה לְנִשְׁבְּרֵי־לֵ֑ב וְֽאֶת־דַּכְּאֵי־ר֥וּחַ יוֹשִֽׁיעַ׃
karov ADONAI lenishbere-lev ve'et-dakke'e-ruach yoshia
The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart, And saveth such as are of a contrite spirit.
20רַ֭בּוֹת רָע֣וֹת צַדִּ֑יק וּ֝מִכֻּלָּ֗ם יַצִּילֶ֥נּוּ יְהוָֽה׃
rabbot ra'ot tzaddik umikkullam yatzilennu ADONAI
Many are the ills of the righteous, But the LORD delivereth him out of them all.
21שֹׁמֵ֥ר כָּל־עַצְמוֹתָ֑יו אַחַ֥ת מֵ֝הֵ֗נָּה לֹ֣א נִשְׁבָּֽרָה׃
shomer kal-atzmotav achat mehenna lo nishbara
He keepeth all his bones; Not one of them is broken.
22תְּמוֹתֵ֣ת רָשָׁ֣ע רָעָ֑ה וְשֹׂנְאֵ֖י צַדִּ֣יק יֶאְשָֽׁמוּ׃
temotet rasha' ra'a veson'e tzaddik ye'shamu
Evil shall kill the wicked; And they that hate the righteous shall be held guilty.
23פּוֹדֶ֣ה יְ֭הוָה נֶ֣פֶשׁ עֲבָדָ֑יו וְלֹ֥א יֶ֝אְשְׁמ֗וּ כָּֽל־הַחֹסִ֥ים בּֽוֹ׃
pode ADONAI nefesh avadav velo ye'shemu kal-hachosim bo
The LORD redeemeth the soul of His servants; And none of them that take refuge in Him shall be desolate.
