1שִׁ֗יר לַֽמַּ֫עֲל֥וֹת אֶשָּׂ֣א עֵ֭ינַי אֶל־הֶהָרִ֑ים מֵ֝אַ֗יִן יָבֹ֥א עֶזְרִֽי׃
shir lamma'alot essa enay el-heharim me'ayin yavo ezri
A Song of Ascents. I will lift up mine eyes unto the mountains: From whence shall my help come?
2עֶ֭זְרִי מֵעִ֣ם יְהוָ֑ה עֹ֝שֵׂ֗ה שָׁמַ֥יִם וָאָֽרֶץ׃
ezri me'im ADONAI ose shamayim va'aretz
My help cometh from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth.
3אַל־יִתֵּ֣ן לַמּ֣וֹט רַגְלֶ֑ךָ אַל־יָ֝נ֗וּם שֹֽׁמְרֶֽךָ׃
al-yitten lammot raglekha al-yanum shomrekha
He will not suffer thy foot to be moved; He that keepeth thee will not slumber.
4הִנֵּ֣ה לֹֽא־יָ֭נוּם וְלֹ֣א יִישָׁ֑ן שׁ֝וֹמֵ֗ר יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
hinne lo-yanum velo yishan shomer yisra'el
Behold, He that keepeth Israel Doth neither slumber nor sleep.
5יְהוָ֥ה שֹׁמְרֶ֑ךָ יְהוָ֥ה צִ֝לְּךָ֗ עַל־יַ֥ד יְמִינֶֽךָ׃
ADONAI shomrekha ADONAI tzillekha al-yad yeminekha
The LORD is thy keeper; The LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.
6יוֹמָ֗ם הַשֶּׁ֥מֶשׁ לֹֽא־יַכֶּ֗כָּה וְיָרֵ֥חַ בַּלָּֽיְלָה׃
yomam hashemesh lo-yakkekka veyareach ballayla
The sun shall not smite thee by day, Nor the moon by night.
7יְֽהוָ֗ה יִשְׁמָרְךָ֥ מִכָּל־רָ֑ע יִ֝שְׁמֹ֗ר אֶת־נַפְשֶֽׁךָ׃
ADONAI yishmarkha mikkal-ra' yishmor et-nafshekha
The LORD shall keep thee from all evil; He shall keep thy soul.
8יְֽהוָ֗ה יִשְׁמָר־צֵאתְךָ֥ וּבוֹאֶ֑ךָ מֵֽ֝עַתָּ֗ה וְעַד־עוֹלָֽם׃
ADONAI yishmar-tzetkha uvo'ekha me'atta ve'ad-olam
The LORD shall guard thy going out and thy coming in, From this time forth and for ever.
