1לֹ֤א לָ֥נוּ יְהוָ֗ה לֹ֫א לָ֥נוּ כִּֽי־לְ֭שִׁמְךָ תֵּ֣ן כָּב֑וֹד עַל־חַ֝סְדְּךָ֗ עַל־אֲמִתֶּֽךָ׃
lo lanu ADONAI lo lanu ki-leshimkha ten kavod al-chasdekha al-amittekha
Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, But unto Thy name give glory, For Thy mercy, and for Thy truth's sake.
2לָ֭מָּה יֹאמְר֣וּ הַגּוֹיִ֑ם אַיֵּה־נָ֝֗א אֱלֹהֵיהֶֽם׃
lamma yomru haggoyim ayye-na elohehem
Wherefore should the nations say: 'Where is now their God?'
3וֵֽאלֹהֵ֥ינוּ בַשָּׁמָ֑יִם כֹּ֭ל אֲשֶׁר־חָפֵ֣ץ עָשָֽׂה׃
velohenu vashamayim kol asher-chafetz asa
But our God is in the heavens; Whatsoever pleased Him He hath done.
4עֲֽ֭צַבֵּיהֶם כֶּ֣סֶף וְזָהָ֑ב מַ֝עֲשֵׂ֗ה יְדֵ֣י אָדָֽם׃
atzabbehem kesef vezahav ma'ase yede adam
Their idols are silver and gold, The work of men's hands.
5פֶּֽה־לָ֭הֶם וְלֹ֣א יְדַבֵּ֑רוּ עֵינַ֥יִם לָ֝הֶ֗ם וְלֹ֣א יִרְאֽוּ׃
pe-lahem velo yedabberu enayim lahem velo yiru
They have mouths, but they speak not; Eyes have they, but they see not;
6אָזְנַ֣יִם לָ֭הֶם וְלֹ֣א יִשְׁמָ֑עוּ אַ֥ף לָ֝הֶ֗ם וְלֹ֣א יְרִיחֽוּן׃
aznayim lahem velo yishma'u af lahem velo yerichun
They have ears, but they hear not; Noses have they, but they smell not;
7יְדֵיהֶ֤ם ׀ וְלֹ֬א יְמִישׁ֗וּן רַ֭גְלֵיהֶם וְלֹ֣א יְהַלֵּ֑כוּ לֹֽא־יֶ֝הְגּ֗וּ בִּגְרוֹנָֽם׃
yedehem velo yemishun raglehem velo yehallekhu lo-yehgu bigronam
They have hands, but they handle not; Feet have they, but they walk not; Neither speak they with their throat. .
8כְּ֭מוֹהֶם יִהְי֣וּ עֹשֵׂיהֶ֑ם כֹּ֭ל אֲשֶׁר־בֹּטֵ֣חַ בָּהֶֽם׃
kemohem yihyu osehem kol asher-boteach bahem
They that make them shall be like unto them; Yea, every one that trusteth in them.
9יִ֭שְׂרָאֵל בְּטַ֣ח בַּיהוָ֑ה עֶזְרָ֖ם וּמָגִנָּ֣ם הֽוּא׃
yisra'el betach baADONAI ezram umaginnam hu
O Israel, trust thou in the LORD! He is their help and their shield!
10בֵּ֣ית אַ֭הֲרֹן בִּטְח֣וּ בַיהוָ֑ה עֶזְרָ֖ם וּמָגִנָּ֣ם הֽוּא׃
bet aharon bitchu baADONAI ezram umaginnam hu
O house of Aaron, trust ye in the LORD! He is their help and their shield!
11יִרְאֵ֣י יְ֭הוָה בִּטְח֣וּ בַיהוָ֑ה עֶזְרָ֖ם וּמָגִנָּ֣ם הֽוּא׃
yir'e ADONAI bitchu baADONAI ezram umaginnam hu
Ye that fear the LORD, trust in the LORD! He is their help and their shield.
12יְהוָה֮ זְכָרָ֪נוּ יְבָ֫רֵ֥ךְ יְ֭בָרֵךְ אֶת־בֵּ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל יְ֝בָרֵ֗ךְ אֶת־בֵּ֥ית אַהֲרֹֽן׃
ADONAI zekharanu yevarekh yevarekh et-bet yisra'el yevarekh et-bet aharon
The LORD hath been mindful of us, He will bless— He will bless the house of Israel; He will bless the house of Aaron.
13יְ֭בָרֵךְ יִרְאֵ֣י יְהוָ֑ה הַ֝קְּטַנִּ֗ים עִם־הַגְּדֹלִֽים׃
yevarekh yir'e ADONAI hakketannim im-haggedolim
He will bless them that fear the LORD, Both small and great.
14יֹסֵ֣ף יְהוָ֣ה עֲלֵיכֶ֑ם עֲ֝לֵיכֶ֗ם וְעַל־בְּנֵיכֶֽם׃
yosef ADONAI alekhem alekhem ve'al-benekhem
The LORD increase you more and more, You and your children.
15בְּרוּכִ֣ים אַ֭תֶּם לַיהוָ֑ה עֹ֝שֵׂ֗ה שָׁמַ֥יִם וָאָֽרֶץ׃
berukhim attem laADONAI ose shamayim va'aretz
Blessed be ye of the LORD Who made heaven and earth.
16הַשָּׁמַ֣יִם שָׁ֭מַיִם לַיהוָ֑ה וְ֝הָאָ֗רֶץ נָתַ֥ן לִבְנֵי־אָדָֽם׃
hashamayim shamayim laADONAI veha'aretz natan livne-adam
The heavens are the heavens of the LORD; But the earth hath He given to the children of men.
17לֹ֣א הַ֭מֵּתִים יְהַֽלְלוּ־יָ֑הּ וְ֝לֹ֗א כָּל־יֹרְדֵ֥י דוּמָֽה׃
lo hammetim yehallu-yah velo kal-yorde duma
The dead praise not the LORD, Neither any that go down into silence;
18וַאֲנַ֤חְנוּ ׀ נְבָ֘רֵ֤ךְ יָ֗הּ מֵֽעַתָּ֥ה וְעַד־עוֹלָ֗ם הַֽלְלוּ־יָֽהּ׃
va'anachnu nevarekh yah me'atta ve'ad-olam hallu-yah
But we will bless the LORD From this time forth and for ever. Hallelujah.
