Joshua 15 יְהוֹשֻׁעַ

¹וַיְהִ֣י הַגּוֹרָ֗ל לְמַטֵּ֛ה בְּנֵ֥י יְהוּדָ֖ה לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָ֑ם אֶל־גְּב֨וּל אֱד֧וֹם מִדְבַּר־צִ֛ן נֶ֖גְבָּה מִקְצֵ֥ה תֵימָֽן׃

vayhi haggoral lematte bene yehuda lemishpechotam el-gevul edom midbar-tzin negba miktze teman

1And the lot for the tribe of the children of Judah according to their families was unto the border of Edom, even to the wilderness of Zin southward, at the uttermost part of the south.

²וַיְהִ֤י לָהֶם֙ גְּב֣וּל נֶ֔גֶב מִקְצֵ֖ה יָ֣ם הַמֶּ֑לַח מִן־הַלָּשֹׁ֖ן הַפֹּנֶ֥ה נֶֽגְבָּה׃

vayhi lahem gevul negev miktze yam hammelach min-hallashon happone negba

2And their south border was from the uttermost part of the Salt Sea, from the bay that looked southward.

³וְ֠יָצָא אֶל־מִנֶּ֜גֶב לְמַעֲלֵ֤ה עַקְרַבִּים֙ וְעָ֣בַר צִ֔נָה וְעָלָ֥ה מִנֶּ֖גֶב לְקָדֵ֣שׁ בַּרְנֵ֑עַ וְעָבַ֤ר חֶצְרוֹן֙ וְעָלָ֣ה אַדָּ֔רָה וְנָסַ֖ב הַקַּרְקָֽעָה׃

veyatza el-minnegev lema'ale akrabbim ve'avar tzina ve'ala minnegev lekadesh barnea ve'avar chetzron ve'ala addara venasav hakkarka'a

3And it went out southward of the ascent of Akrabbim, and passed along to Zin, and went up by the south of Kadesh-barnea, and passed along by Hezron, and went up to Addar, and turned about to Karka.

⁴וְעָבַ֣ר עַצְמ֗וֹנָה וְיָצָא֙ נַ֣חַל מִצְרַ֔יִם והיה [וְהָי֛וּ] תֹּצְא֥וֹת הַגְּב֖וּל יָ֑מָּה זֶה־יִהְיֶ֥ה לָכֶ֖ם גְּב֥וּל נֶֽגֶב׃

ve'avar atzmona veyatza nachal mitzrayim vehayu totzot haggevul yamma ze-yihye lakhem gevul negev

4And it passed along to Azmon, and went out at the Brook of Egypt; and the goings out of the border were at the sea; this shall be your south border.

⁵וּגְב֥וּל קֵ֨דְמָה֙ יָ֣ם הַמֶּ֔לַח עַד־קְצֵ֖ה הַיַּרְדֵּ֑ן וּגְב֞וּל לִפְאַ֤ת צָפ֨וֹנָה֙ מִלְּשׁ֣וֹן הַיָּ֔ם מִקְצֵ֖ה הַיַּרְדֵּֽן׃

ugevul kedma yam hammelach ad-ketze hayyarden ugevul lif'at tzafona milleshon hayyam miktze hayyarden

5And the east border was the Salt Sea, even unto the end of the Jordan. And the border of the north side was from the bay of the sea at the end of the Jordan.

⁶וְעָלָ֤ה הַגְּבוּל֙ בֵּ֣ית חָגְלָ֔ה וְעָבַ֕ר מִצְּפ֖וֹן לְבֵ֣ית הָעֲרָבָ֑ה וְעָלָ֣ה הַגְּב֔וּל אֶ֥בֶן בֹּ֖הַן בֶּן־רְאוּבֵֽן׃

ve'ala haggevul bet chagla ve'avar mitzefon levet ha'arava ve'ala haggevul even bohan ben-reuven

6And the border went up to Beth-hoglah, and passed along by the north of Beth-arabah; and the border went up to the Stone of Bohan the son of Reuben.

⁷וְעָלָ֨ה הַגְּב֥וּל ׀ דְּבִרָה֮ מֵעֵ֣מֶק עָכוֹר֒ וְצָפ֜וֹנָה פֹּנֶ֣ה אֶל־הַגִּלְגָּ֗ל אֲשֶׁר־נֹ֨כַח֙ לְמַעֲלֵ֣ה אֲדֻמִּ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֥ר מִנֶּ֖גֶב לַנָּ֑חַל וְעָבַ֤ר הַגְּבוּל֙ אֶל־מֵי־עֵ֣ין שֶׁ֔מֶשׁ וְהָי֥וּ תֹצְאֹתָ֖יו אֶל־עֵ֥ין רֹגֵֽל׃

ve'ala haggevul devira me'emek akhor vetzafona pone el-haggilgal asher-nokhach lema'ale adummim asher minnegev lannachal ve'avar haggevul el-me-en shemesh vehayu totz'otav el-en rogel

7And the border went up to Debir from the valley of Achor, and so northward, looking toward Gilgal, that is over against the ascent of Adummim, which is on the south side of the brook; and the border passed along to the waters of En-shemesh, and the goings out thereof were at En-rogel.

⁸וְעָלָ֨ה הַגְּב֜וּל גֵּ֣י בֶן־הִנֹּ֗ם אֶל־כֶּ֤תֶף הַיְבוּסִי֙ מִנֶּ֔גֶב הִ֖יא יְרֽוּשָׁלִָ֑ם וְעָלָ֨ה הַגְּב֜וּל אֶל־רֹ֣אשׁ הָהָ֗ר אֲ֠שֶׁר עַל־פְּנֵ֤י גֵֽי־הִנֹּם֙ יָ֔מָּה אֲשֶׁ֛ר בִּקְצֵ֥ה עֵֽמֶק־רְפָאִ֖ים צָפֹֽנָה׃

ve'ala haggevul ge ven-hinnom el-ketef hayvusi minnegev hi yerushalam ve'ala haggevul el-rosh hahar asher al-pene ge-hinnom yamma asher biktze emek-refa'im tzafona

8And the border went up by the Valley of the son of Hinnom unto the side of the Jebusite southward—the same is Jerusalem—and the border went up to the top of the mountain that lieth before the Valley of Hinnom westward, which is at the uttermost part of the vale of Rephaim northward.

⁹וְתָאַ֨ר הַגְּב֜וּל מֵרֹ֣אשׁ הָהָ֗ר אֶל־מַעְיַן֙ מֵ֣י נֶפְתּ֔וֹחַ וְיָצָ֖א אֶל־עָרֵ֣י הַר־עֶפְר֑וֹן וְתָאַ֤ר הַגְּבוּל֙ בַּעֲלָ֔ה הִ֖יא קִרְיַ֥ת יְעָרִֽים׃

veta'ar haggevul merosh hahar el-ma'yan me neftoach veyatza el-are har-efron veta'ar haggevul ba'ala hi kiryat ye'arim

9And the border was drawn from the top of the mountain unto the fountain of the waters of Nephtoah, and went out to the cities of mount Ephron; and the border was drawn to Baalah—the same is Kiriath-jearim.

¹⁰וְנָסַב֩ הַגְּב֨וּל מִבַּעֲלָ֥ה יָ֨מָּה֙ אֶל־הַ֣ר שֵׂעִ֔יר וְעָבַ֕ר אֶל־כֶּ֧תֶף הַר־יְעָרִ֛ים מִצָּפ֖וֹנָה הִ֣יא כְסָל֑וֹן וְיָרַ֥ד בֵּֽית־שֶׁ֖מֶשׁ וְעָבַ֥ר תִּמְנָֽה׃

venasav haggevul mibba'ala yamma el-har se'ir ve'avar el-ketef har-ye'arim mitzafona hi khesalon veyarad bet-shemesh ve'avar timna

10And the border turned about from Baalah westward unto mount Seir, and passed along unto the side of mount Jearim on the north—the same is Chesalon—and went down to Beth-shemesh, and passed along by Timnah.

¹¹וְיָצָ֨א הַגְּב֜וּל אֶל־כֶּ֣תֶף עֶקְרוֹן֮ צָפוֹנָה֒ וְתָאַ֤ר הַגְּבוּל֙ שִׁכְּר֔וֹנָה וְעָבַ֥ר הַר־הַֽבַּעֲלָ֖ה וְיָצָ֣א יַבְנְאֵ֑ל וְהָי֛וּ תֹּצְא֥וֹת הַגְּב֖וּל יָֽמָּה׃

veyatza haggevul el-ketef ekron tzafona veta'ar haggevul shikkerona ve'avar har-habba'ala veyatza yavne'el vehayu totzot haggevul yamma

11And the border went out unto the side of Ekron northward; and the border was drawn to Shikkeron, and passed along to mount Baalah, and went out at Jabneel; and the goings out of the border were at the sea.

¹²וּגְב֣וּל יָ֔ם הַיָּ֥מָּה הַגָּד֖וֹל וּגְב֑וּל זֶ֠ה גְּב֧וּל בְּנֵֽי־יְהוּדָ֛ה סָבִ֖יב לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָֽם׃

ugevul yam hayyamma haggadol ugevul ze gevul bene-yehuda saviv lemishpechotam

12And as for the west border, the Great Sea was the border thereof. This is the border of the children of Judah round about according to their families.

¹³וּלְכָלֵ֣ב בֶּן־יְפֻנֶּ֗ה נָ֤תַן חֵ֨לֶק֙ בְּת֣וֹךְ בְּנֵֽי־יְהוּדָ֔ה אֶל־פִּ֥י יְהוָ֖ה לִֽיהוֹשֻׁ֑עַ אֶת־קִרְיַ֥ת אַרְבַּ֛ע אֲבִ֥י הָעֲנָ֖ק הִ֥יא חֶבְרֽוֹן׃

ulekhalev ben-yefunne natan chelek betokh bene-yehuda el-pi ADONAI lihoshua et-kiryat arba' avi ha'anak hi chevron

13And unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh he gave a portion among the children of Judah, according to the commandment of the LORD to Joshua, even Kiriath-arba, which Arba was the father of Anak—the same is Hebron.

¹⁴וַיֹּ֤רֶשׁ מִשָּׁם֙ כָּלֵ֔ב אֶת־שְׁלוֹשָׁ֖ה בְּנֵ֣י הָעֲנָ֑ק אֶת־שֵׁשַׁ֤י וְאֶת־אֲחִימַן֙ וְאֶת־תַּלְמַ֔י יְלִידֵ֖י הָעֲנָֽק׃

vayyoresh misham kalev et-shelosha bene ha'anak et-sheshay ve'et-achiman ve'et-talmay yelide ha'anak

14And Caleb drove out thence the three sons of Anak, Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai, the children of Anak.

¹⁵וַיַּ֣עַל מִשָּׁ֔ם אֶל־יֹשְׁבֵ֖י דְּבִ֑ר וְשֵׁם־דְּבִ֥ר לְפָנִ֖ים קִרְיַת־סֵֽפֶר׃

vayya'al misham el-yoshve devir veshem-devir lefanim kiryat-sefer

15And he went up thence against the inhabitants of Debir—now the name of Debir beforetime was Kiriath-sepher.

¹⁶וַיֹּ֣אמֶר כָּלֵ֔ב אֲשֶׁר־יַכֶּ֥ה אֶת־קִרְיַת־סֵ֖פֶר וּלְכָדָ֑הּ וְנָתַ֥תִּי ל֛וֹ אֶת־עַכְסָ֥ה בִתִּ֖י לְאִשָּֽׁה׃

vayyomer kalev asher-yakke et-kiryat-sefer ulekhadah venatatti lo et-akhsa vitti le'isha

16And Caleb said: ‘He that smiteth Kiriath-sepher, and taketh it, to him will I give Achsah my daughter to wife.’

¹⁷וַֽיִּלְכְּדָ֛הּ עָתְנִיאֵ֥ל בֶּן־קְנַ֖ז אֲחִ֣י כָלֵ֑ב וַיִּתֶּן־ל֛וֹ אֶת־עַכְסָ֥ה בִתּ֖וֹ לְאִשָּֽׁה׃

vayyilkedah atni'el ben-kenaz achi khalev vayyitten-lo et-akhsa vitto le'isha

17And Othniel the son of Kenaz, the brother of Caleb, took it; and he gave him Achsah his daughter to wife. .

¹⁸וַיְהִ֣י בְּבוֹאָ֗הּ וַתְּסִיתֵ֨הוּ֙ לִשְׁא֤וֹל מֵֽאֵת־אָבִ֨יהָ֙ שָׂדֶ֔ה וַתִּצְנַ֖ח מֵעַ֣ל הַחֲמ֑וֹר וַיֹּֽאמֶר־לָ֥הּ כָּלֵ֖ב מַה־לָּֽךְ׃

vayhi bevo'ah vattesitehu lishol me'et-aviha sade vattitznach me'al hachamor vayyomer-lah kalev ma-lakh

18And it came to pass, when she came unto him, that she persuaded him to ask of her father a field; and she alighted from off her ass; and Caleb said unto her: ‘What wouldest thou?’

¹⁹וַתֹּ֜אמֶר תְּנָה־לִּ֣י בְרָכָ֗ה כִּ֣י אֶ֤רֶץ הַנֶּ֨גֶב֙ נְתַתָּ֔נִי וְנָתַתָּ֥ה לִ֖י גֻּלֹּ֣ת מָ֑יִם וַיִּתֶּן־לָ֗הּ אֵ֚ת גֻּלֹּ֣ת עִלִּיּ֔וֹת וְאֵ֖ת גֻּלֹּ֥ת תַּחְתִּיּֽוֹת׃

vattomer tena-li verakha ki eretz hannegev netattani venatatta li gullot mayim vayyitten-lah et gullot illiyyot ve'et gullot tachtiyyot

19And she said: ‘Give me a blessing; for that thou hast set me in the Southland, give me therefore springs of water.’ And he gave her the Upper Springs and the Nether Springs.

²⁰זֹ֗את נַחֲלַ֛ת מַטֵּ֥ה בְנֵי־יְהוּדָ֖ה לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָֽם׃

zot nachalat matte vene-yehuda lemishpechotam

20This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Judah according to their families.

²¹וַיִּֽהְי֣וּ הֶעָרִ֗ים מִקְצֵה֙ לְמַטֵּ֣ה בְנֵֽי־יְהוּדָ֔ה אֶל־גְּב֥וּל אֱד֖וֹם בַּנֶּ֑גְבָּה קַבְצְאֵ֥ל וְעֵ֖דֶר וְיָגֽוּר׃

vayyihyu he'arim miktze lematte vene-yehuda el-gevul edom bannegba kavtze'el ve'eder veyagur

21And the cities at the uttermost part of the tribe of the children of Judah toward the border of Edom in the South were Kabzeel, and Eder, and Jagur;

²²וְקִינָ֥ה וְדִֽימוֹנָ֖ה וְעַדְעָדָֽה׃

vekina vedimona ve'ad'ada

22and Kinah, and Dimonah, and Adadah;

²³וְקֶ֥דֶשׁ וְחָצ֖וֹר וְיִתְנָֽן׃

vekedesh vechatzor veyitnan

23and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Ithnan;

²⁴זִ֥יף וָטֶ֖לֶם וּבְעָלֽוֹת׃

zif vatelem uve'alot

24Ziph, and Telem, and Bealoth;

²⁵וְחָצ֤וֹר ׀ חֲדַתָּה֙ וּקְרִיּ֔וֹת חֶצְר֖וֹן הִ֥יא חָצֽוֹר׃

vechatzor chadatta ukeriyyot chetzron hi chatzor

25and Hazor, and Hadattah, and Kerioth, and Hezron—the same is Hazor;

²⁶אֲמָ֥ם וּשְׁמַ֖ע וּמוֹלָדָֽה׃

amam ushema' umolada

26Amam, and Shema, and Moladah;

²⁷וַחֲצַ֥ר גַּדָּ֛ה וְחֶשְׁמ֖וֹן וּבֵ֥ית פָּֽלֶט׃

vachatzar gadda vecheshmon uvet palet

27and Hazar-gaddah, and Heshmon, and Beth-pelet;

²⁸וַחֲצַ֥ר שׁוּעָ֛ל וּבְאֵ֥ר שֶׁ֖בַע וּבִזְיוֹתְיָֽה׃

vachatzar shu'al uve'er sheva' uvizyotya

28and Hazar-shual, and Beer-sheba, and Biziothiah;

²⁹בַּעֲלָ֥ה וְעִיִּ֖ים וָעָֽצֶם׃

ba'ala ve'iyyim va'atzem

29Baalah, and Iim, and Ezem;

³⁰וְאֶלְתּוֹלַ֥ד וּכְסִ֖יל וְחָרְמָֽה׃

ve'eltolad ukhesil vecharma

30and Eltolad, and Chesil, and Hormah;

³¹וְצִֽקְלַ֥ג וּמַדְמַנָּ֖ה וְסַנְסַנָּֽה׃

vetziklag umadmanna vesansanna

31and Ziklag, and Madmannah, and Sansannah;

³²וּלְבָא֥וֹת וְשִׁלְחִ֖ים וְעַ֣יִן וְרִמּ֑וֹן כָּל־עָרִ֛ים עֶשְׂרִ֥ים וָתֵ֖שַׁע וְחַצְרֵיהֶֽן׃

ulevaot veshilchim ve'ayin verimmon kal-arim esrim vatesha' vechatzrehen

32and Lebaoth, and Shilhim, and Ain, and Rimmon; all the cities are twenty and nine, with their villages.

³³בַּשְּׁפֵלָ֑ה אֶשְׁתָּא֥וֹל וְצָרְעָ֖ה וְאַשְׁנָֽה׃

bashefela eshtaol vetzar'a ve'ashna

33In the Lowland: Eshtaol, and Zorah, and Ashnah;

³⁴וְזָנ֨וֹחַ֙ וְעֵ֣ין גַּנִּ֔ים תַּפּ֖וּחַ וְהָעֵינָֽם׃

vezanoach ve'en gannim tappuach veha'enam

34and Zanoah, and En-gannim, Tappuah, and Enam;

³⁵יַרְמוּת֙ וַעֲדֻלָּ֔ם שׂוֹכֹ֖ה וַעֲזֵקָֽה׃

yarmut va'adullam sokho va'azeka

35Jarmuth, and Adullam, Socoh, and Azekah;

³⁶וְשַׁעֲרַ֨יִם֙ וַעֲדִיתַ֔יִם וְהַגְּדֵרָ֖ה וּגְדֵרֹתָ֑יִם עָרִ֥ים אַרְבַּֽע־עֶשְׂרֵ֖ה וְחַצְרֵיהֶֽן׃

vesha'arayim va'aditayim vehaggedera ugederotayim arim arba'-esre vechatzrehen

36and Shaaraim, and Adithaim, and Gederah, with Gederothaim; fourteen cities with their villages.

³⁷צְנָ֥ן וַחֲדָשָׁ֖ה וּמִגְדַּל־גָּֽד׃

tzenan vachadasha umigdal-gad

37Zenan, and Hadashah, and Migdal-gad;

³⁸וְדִלְעָ֥ן וְהַמִּצְפֶּ֖ה וְיָקְתְאֵֽל׃

vedil'an vehammitzpe veyakte'el

38and Dilan, and Mizpeh, and Joktheel;

³⁹לָכִ֥ישׁ וּבָצְקַ֖ת וְעֶגְלֽוֹן׃

lakhish uvatzkat ve'eglon

39Lachish, and Bozkath, and Eglon;

⁴⁰וְכַבּ֥וֹן וְלַחְמָ֖ס וְכִתְלִֽישׁ׃

vekhabbon velachmas vekhitlish

40and Cabbon, and Lahmas, and Chithlish;

⁴¹וּגְדֵר֕וֹת בֵּית־דָּג֥וֹן וְנַעֲמָ֖ה וּמַקֵּדָ֑ה עָרִ֥ים שֵׁשׁ־עֶשְׂרֵ֖ה וְחַצְרֵיהֶֽן׃

ugederot bet-dagon vena'ama umakkeda arim shesh-esre vechatzrehen

41and Gederoth, Beth-dagon, and Naamah, and Makkedah; sixteen cities with their villages.

⁴²לִבְנָ֥ה וָעֶ֖תֶר וְעָשָֽׁן׃

livna va'eter ve'ashan

42Libnah, and Ether, and Ashan;

⁴³וְיִפְתָּ֥ח וְאַשְׁנָ֖ה וּנְצִֽיב׃

veyiftach ve'ashna unetziv

43and Iphtah, and Ashnah, and Nezib;

⁴⁴וּקְעִילָ֥ה וְאַכְזִ֖יב וּמָֽרֵאשָׁ֑ה עָרִ֥ים תֵּ֖שַׁע וְחַצְרֵיהֶֽן׃

uke'ila ve'akhziv umaresha arim tesha' vechatzrehen

44and Keilah, and Achzib, and Mareshah; nine cities with their villages.

⁴⁵עֶקְר֥וֹן וּבְנֹתֶ֖יהָ וַחֲצֵרֶֽיהָ׃

ekron uvenoteha vachatzereha

45Ekron, with its towns and its villages;

⁴⁶מֵעֶקְר֖וֹן וָיָ֑מָּה כֹּ֛ל אֲשֶׁר־עַל־יַ֥ד אַשְׁדּ֖וֹד וְחַצְרֵיהֶֽן׃

me'ekron vayamma kol asher-al-yad ashdod vechatzrehen

46from Ekron even unto the sea, all that were by the side of Ashdod, with their villages.

⁴⁷אַשְׁדּ֞וֹד בְּנוֹתֶ֣יהָ וַחֲצֵרֶ֗יהָ עַזָּ֥ה בְּנוֹתֶ֥יהָ וַחֲצֵרֶ֖יהָ עַד־נַ֣חַל מִצְרָ֑יִם וְהַיָּ֥ם הגבול [הַגָּד֖וֹל] וּגְבֽוּל׃

ashdod benoteha vachatzereha azza benoteha vachatzereha ad-nachal mitzrayim vehayyam haggadol ugevul

47Ashdod, its towns and its villages; Gaza, its towns and its villages; unto the Brook of Egypt, the Great Sea being the border thereof.

⁴⁸וּבָהָ֑ר שָׁמִ֥יר וְיַתִּ֖יר וְשׂוֹכֹֽה׃

uvahar shamir veyattir vesokho

48And in the hill-country: Shamir, and Jattir, and Socoh;

⁴⁹וְדַנָּ֥ה וְקִרְיַת־סַנָּ֖ה הִ֥יא דְבִֽר׃

vedanna vekiryat-sanna hi devir

49and Dannah, and Kiriath-sannah—the same is Debir;

⁵⁰וַעֲנָ֥ב וְאֶשְׁתְּמֹ֖ה וְעָנִֽים׃

va'anav ve'eshtemo ve'anim

50and Anab, and Eshtemoh, and Anim;

⁵¹וְגֹ֥שֶׁן וְחֹלֹ֖ן וְגִלֹ֑ה עָרִ֥ים אַֽחַת־עֶשְׂרֵ֖ה וְחַצְרֵיהֶֽן׃

vegoshen vecholon vegilo arim achat-esre vechatzrehen

51and Goshen, and Holon, and Giloh; eleven cities with their villages.

⁵²אֲרַ֥ב וְרוּמָ֖ה וְאֶשְׁעָֽן׃

arav veruma ve'esh'an

52Arab, and Rumah, and Eshan;

⁵³וינים [וְיָנ֥וּם] וּבֵית־תַּפּ֖וּחַ וַאֲפֵֽקָה׃

veyanum uvet-tappuach va'afeka

53and Janum, and Beth-tappuah, and Aphekah;

⁵⁴וְחֻמְטָ֗ה וְקִרְיַ֥ת אַרְבַּ֛ע הִ֥יא חֶבְר֖וֹן וְצִיעֹ֑ר עָרִ֥ים תֵּ֖שַׁע וְחַצְרֵיהֶֽן׃

vechumta vekiryat arba' hi chevron vetzi'or arim tesha' vechatzrehen

54and Humtah, and Kiriath-arba—the same is Hebron, and Zior; nine cities with their villages.

⁵⁵מָע֥וֹן ׀ כַּרְמֶ֖ל וָזִ֥יף וְיוּטָּֽה׃

ma'on karmel vazif veyuta

55Maon, Carmel, and Ziph, and Juttah;

⁵⁶וְיִזְרְעֶ֥אל וְיָקְדְעָ֖ם וְזָנֽוֹחַ׃

veyizre'el veyakde'am vezanoach

56and Jezreel, and Jokdeam, and Zanoah;

⁵⁷הַקַּ֖יִן גִּבְעָ֣ה וְתִמְנָ֑ה עָרִ֥ים עֶ֖שֶׂר וְחַצְרֵיהֶֽן׃

hakkayin giv'a vetimna arim eser vechatzrehen

57Kain, Gibeah, and Timnah; ten cities with their villages.

⁵⁸חַלְח֥וּל בֵּֽית־צ֖וּר וּגְדֽוֹר׃

chalchul bet-tzur ugedor

58Halhul, Beth-zur, and Gedor;

⁵⁹וּמַעֲרָ֥ת וּבֵית־עֲנ֖וֹת וְאֶלְתְּקֹ֑ן עָרִ֥ים שֵׁ֖שׁ וְחַצְרֵיהֶֽן׃

uma'arat uvet-anot ve'eltekon arim shesh vechatzrehen

59and Maarath, and Beth-anoth, and Eltekon; six cities with their villages.

⁶⁰קִרְיַת־בַּ֗עַל הִ֛יא קִרְיַ֥ת יְעָרִ֖ים וְהָֽרַבָּ֑ה עָרִ֥ים שְׁתַּ֖יִם וְחַצְרֵיהֶֽן׃

kiryat-ba'al hi kiryat ye'arim veharabba arim shetayim vechatzrehen

60Kiriath-baal—the same is Kiriath-jearim, and Rabbah; two cities with their villages.

⁶¹בַּמִּדְבָּ֑ר בֵּ֚ית הָעֲרָבָ֔ה מִדִּ֖ין וּסְכָכָֽה׃

bammidbar bet ha'arava middin usekhakha

61In the wilderness: Beth-arabah, Middin, and Secacah;

⁶²וְהַנִּבְשָׁ֥ן וְעִיר־הַמֶּ֖לַח וְעֵ֣ין גֶּ֑דִי עָרִ֥ים שֵׁ֖שׁ וְחַצְרֵיהֶֽן׃

vehannivshan ve'ir-hammelach ve'en gedi arim shesh vechatzrehen

62and Nibshan, and the City of Salt, and En-gedi; six cities with their villages.

⁶³וְאֶת־הַיְבוּסִי֙ יוֹשְׁבֵ֣י יְרֽוּשָׁלִַ֔ם לֹֽא־יוכלו [יָכְל֥וּ] בְנֵֽי־יְהוּדָ֖ה לְהֽוֹרִישָׁ֑ם וַיֵּ֨שֶׁב הַיְבוּסִ֜י אֶת־בְּנֵ֤י יְהוּדָה֙ בִּיר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם עַ֖ד הַיּ֥וֹם הַזֶּֽה׃

ve'et-hayvusi yoshve yerushalam lo-yakhlu vene-yehuda lehorisham vayyeshev hayvusi et-bene yehuda birushalam ad hayyom hazze

63And as for the Jebusites, the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the children of Judah could not drive them out; but the Jebusites dwelt with the children of Judah at Jerusalem, unto this day.
